Isaiah 43:19 is one of the scriptures that the Holy Spirit deposited strongly in Pastor Andrew’s heart. In this verse God says He will make rivers in the desert/wilderness. Normally rivers start in mountains, but in the desert the source of water is the oasis. There are two types of oasis, one that is shallow, dries up and covers a very small area. The second type of oasis is a deep one, it never runs dry and services a very large area. An oasis in the desert is a place of refreshing/renewal of spirit as people quench their thirst by drinking water. Secondly it is a place of networking with other people who would have come to quench their thirst. Thirdly it is a place of information gathering, seeking knowledge as well as getting to know the latest trends. Fourthly there is agriculture and economic activity taking place at the deep oasis and its environs. Fifthly without an oasis there would be no water and no life in the desert. We believe there is a spiritual desert in this world. Oasis Christian Assembly was planted by God as one of the deep spiritual oasis in this world to help people come to know the Word of God and be a testimony of the goodness of the Lord Jesus Christ.
